Preparation of potassium persulfate

Method 1

In potassium sulfate method, ammonium sulfate and sulfuric acid are used to prepare electrolyte to remove impurities before electrolysis. HSO4 is discharged at the anode to form persulfate, and then reacts with ammonium sulfate to form ammonium persulfate. Then, potassium sulfate is added for double decomposition reaction. Anodic reaction: 2hso4-2e & rarr; h2s2o8

Cathode reaction: 2h + 2E & rarr; H2 & uarr;

(NH4)2SO4+H2S2O8→(NH4)2S2O8+H2SO4

(NH4)2S2O8+K2SO4+H2SO4→K2S2O8+2NH4HSO4

Method 2

It is obtained by the double decomposition reaction of ammonium persulfate and potassium sulfate, cooling, separation, crystallization and drying.
